- Marriage is an initial phase of divorcement on the married teenager. The young couples commonly have various problems in the middle of life which produced inability of marital satisfaction. This satisfaction was influenced by several factors; one of them was social support. This study applied correlational design and aimed at investigating the correlation between social support and marital satisfaction. The subjects involved in this study were 94 participants with the range of 19 to 22 years old, 1 year marriage period, having children, and staying in Malang. The sample was collected using snowball technique. The data were analyzed using scales and Pearson Product Moment Analysis. The results of the study showed that the correlation between social supports of family and marital satisfaction on the teenager were r = 0.752 and p > 0.05. It meant that there was a significant correlation between social support and marital satisfaction. Furthermore, social support of family contributed to the effectiveness of marital satisfaction on the teenager by 56.6%.
