- This research aims to develop thematic learning media for 1th grade elementary students who apply scientific approaches which are expected to create thematic learning-centered on the teachers being centered on the students, increase the participation of students in learning and improve the spirit of 1th grade students. This research is the type of Research and Development (R & D) that used ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) as a model. The research subject take 23 students in 1th grade at SDN Purwantoro 2 in academic year 2017/2018. This research was conducted on February till March 2018. The data was collected by observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation. The data analysis conducted by means of qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the intervention score by media expert is 96% with the category "feasible" as learning media, the results of the intervention score by material expert is 90% with the category "feasible", and the result of the intervention score by learning expert is 95% with the category's "feasible". While the results of student responses from 23 respondents with intervention score 99%. stated that the learning media is interesting, challenging, feasible, useful and practical to use. The research results, the Media can be used as an alternative educational learning media on thematic learning with a scientific approach can change the learning system centered on the teacher becomes a students-centered, so that the thematic learning becomes meaningful, effective and improve the spirit of students in learning while playing.
