  • 2013 curriculum integrated thematic book for teacher of grade V elementary school/Islamic elementary school theme 5 (Ecosystem) is a guidance book used by teacher to perform the learning. It contains competency mapping, learning steps, and assessment instruments. In fact, the researcher still found several incompatibilities between assessment and basic competency in the field. Thus, the researcher decided to analyze the 2013 curriculum integrated thematic book for teacher of grade V elementary school/Islamic elementary school theme 5 (Ecosystem). This study aims to know the compatibility between assessment and basic competency in the 2013 curriculum integrated thematic book for teacher of grade V elementary school/Islamic elementary school theme 5 (Ecosystem). Before doing the research, in-depth explanation of compatibility, assessment, basic competency, book for teacher, and 2013 curriculum precede the study. This study used qualitative research and literature study approach. In collecting the data, the researcher used documentation as the technique and table as the research instrument. The data were analyzed by using content analysis. The result of this study indicates that each basic competency has its own assessment rubric. The result of the research shows that the value of conformity assessment with the basic competence of the result obtained from the descriptive percentage is 79,1% that goes into the creteria very appropriate. According to the result of this study, it can be concluded that the assessment on 2013 curriculum integrated thematic book for teacher of grade V elementary school/Islamic elementary school theme 5 (Ecosystem) is already compatible with the basic competencies. The suggestion being proposed in this study is the assessment and the basic competency for each learning should be compatible in the following revised book for teacher.
