- Misbehavior is considering as inappropiate and unwanted behavior that give bad impact to class rule, teaching and learning process. Misbehavior issue in elementary school student frequently faced by teacher, that impact on classroom climate, lower academic achievement, impede the interaction between teacher and student, and become one of most stress source to teacher. Overcome student misbehavior is important to do for effective teaching and learning process. One of intervention techniques that can be used is token economy. Token economy principly motivate client to produce desirable behavior and restrain from undesirable behavior. This research aimed to prove token economy method can reduce misbehavior tendention in student. This research was an experiment research with randomized pretest-posttest control group design which were consist of 13 subjects in each group at experiment and control group. The result showed significant decrease of misbehavior tendention (p = 0,037 < 0,05). Thus this research proved that token economy can be used to reduce misbehavior tendention in elementary school student.
