- The self-concept formation are important thing of adolescent girls. The of self-concept formation, there are several factors that influence, one of them is the significant others that include the father’s involvement in parenting. The aims of this correlational quantitative research is to determine the relationship of father's involvement in parenting with the self-concept of adolescent girls. The number of sample in this study was 154 adolescent girls that determined by using simple random sampling method. Data were obtained by using the scale of father’s involvement in parenting and self-concept scaling. Analysis technique using product moment Pearson correlation test. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between the involvement of the father in parenting with self-concept of adolescent girls. The higher father's involvement in parenting, the higher self-concept of adolescent girls. The influence of father's involvement in parenting with communication was 19,1% (r= 0,437 ; p = 0,000<0,01 ; (r^2)= 0,191).
