  • Potato production in Indonesia, from year to year continues to decline. Because farmer use seeds from pervious crops, without any change of new quality seeds. Propogation by in vitro culture method into a quality seed procurement is a solution. Several research have shown that with the treatment of sucrose can improve the potato explants vigour. While in other research also with the addition of paclobutrazol (retardan) can make a better potato explants vigour. This research aims to determine the effect of sucrose concentration with paclobutrazol on the growth of potatoes by in vitro. Randomized Block Design Method (RAK) with 12 treatment combinations and 3 replications. The results showed that the combined treatment of 20g / l sucrose + 0.15 mg / l of paclobutrazol was significantly different from other treatments on long shoot length and longest shoot length.
