  • This research begins with observation result in Purwantoro 2 Malang primary school which shows that the learning outcomes are low under Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning. Although teachers have tried to make the learning process more interesting for students. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of cooperative learning model TGT (team games tournament) to the learning outcome of the fift themes for the third grade of Purwantoro 2 Malang Elementary School. This research uses True Experimental Design in Pretest-Posttest Control form. There are 34 students of grade 3(A) and 35 students of grade 3(B) 2018/2019 from Porwantoro 2 Malang Elementary School. The sampling uses non probability purposive sampling. The data obtained were analyzed with 5% level of significance. Result of calculation from test of difference between the two averages obtained from paired sample test T-test Ha shows 0,000 <0,05 significance. Thus can be stated that Ha acceptable. There are differences between the pretest and posttest results where the average pretest of grade 3-A (experiment) 73.53 posttest 96.03 and the average pretest of grade third-B (control) 73.86 posttest 86.71. This proves the real effect of cooperative learning model with TGT type (team games tournament) on the outcomes of the fift them for the third grade of Purwantoro 2 Malang Elementary School.
