- In the fact that the scout extracurricular activities is for students, this activity is used as an effort to improve the character building that is needed to instill discipline to the students. This research aims to find out: (1) To describe scout extracurricular activity in order to increase discipline in grade 4 students of SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang (2) Describe inhibiting faced in scout extracurricular activities in the effort to increasing discipline in grade 4 students of SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang. (3) Describe the inhibiting solution which is done from scout extracurricular activities in an effort to improve discipline in grade 4 students of SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang. This research used qualitative research and this research type is descriptive. This research was conducted to know and describe about extracurricular activities, constraints faced and solution of scouts extracurricular implementation in efforts to improve the discipline of 4th grade students of SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang. The results showed (1) The impleentation of extracurricular in SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang City contributes greatly in instilling and improving the character espicially discipline behavior, through various activities, for example : wearing full scouts atribut, collecting task on time and appliying the scout Law. (2) there are two major inhibiting that occur when scouts extracurricular in an effort to improve the discipline of class 4 SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang. The first inhibiting is the lack of human resources or scoutmaster, the second inhibiting is there is no room to anticipate when the heavy rains. Of course it will disturb the scout extracurricular. It is known that extracurricularheld in school yard of SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang City. (3) The solution to inhibiting overcome is to include librarians who are appointed directly by the principal of SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang to assist in conditioning the students who follow scouts extracurricular. The second solution is the students are asked take shelter to the terraces that are in front of the class when it rains, although the distance is far from the coach but helped because of the active speakers provided by the school. If the rain is too heavy then scouts extracurricular activities will be moved in the school mosque.
