  • Potato plants (Solanum tuberosum L.) or known as potatoes is one of the five world staple foods as a source of carbohydrates, The five staple foods are rice, wheat, potatoes, sorghum, and corn. Potatoes are an important food commodity in Indonesia and are needed throughout the year besides rice as the main foodstuff. This research was conducted by Greenhouse in the Village Sumber Brantas, Dusun Jurang Kuali, Kecamatan Bumiaji, City Batu, This research was conducted from June to September 2016. The tool used in this research is tray, seed box, gloves, scaple blade, tray, timba, hand sprayer, petri dish, mulch, styroform, sponge, paranet, lamp 20 watts (yellow, white, purple), straples, tweezers , 1 set of aeroponic tub, hoses, nozzle, thermometer, scales, ruler, label paper, raffia strap, sliding term, camera and stationery. Materials used in this study were Granola potato cuttings, potato PPT4 Zebra, disinfectant, cocopeat, clorox, rooton F and ABmix nutrition. This research was carried out by using Division of Distributed Plot (RPT) with main plot of light color treatment: W1 (yellow) with light intensity 10.8 Fc, W2 (white color) with light intensity 16,7 Fc, W3 (purple color) with a light intensity of 0.5 Fc and sub plot is Cultivar: K1 (granola) and K2 (PPT4 Zebra) with repeated 4 times. Each replication of each 8 samples, and the total population of each plot 18 cuttings of potato crops. Based on result of research response of potato mini pot formation through arrangement of color of light at aeroponic system have happened The real interaction between different color of light arrangement and some cultivars have real effect to stem diameter at age 56-105 HST, very significant effect to the number of leaf aged 91- 105 HST and significant effect on chlorophyll content age 77 HST. Color of light that gives the best result is the color of yellow light with wavelength 560-590 nm and white light with wavelength 400-700 nm effect on vegetative growth of the plant height, the number of leaves, stem diameter while the color of light purple with wavelength 390-430 nm have an effect on generative growth that is from tuber bulb, tuber diameter and tuber weight. On the cultivars that show the best results are Granola. Different light color settings for the production of Granola cultivar potato mini pot with a light color purple with a wavelength of 390-430 nm more the amount of potato mini potato production when compared to the Zebra PPT4 Cultivar with the wavelength of yellow and white light color.
