  • Based on the result of the first observation and interview conducted in 3-A and 3-B students of Lowokwaru 2 Elementary School Malang, it showed that in thematic learning theme 6 subtheme 3 lesson 5, students was still unable to understand the materials. On the process of learning, teacher used handbook as learning source without any other concrete media. Based on the problem above, study with the title of “Media Development KantongSaku Baca Tulis toward third grade thematic learning theme 6 subthemes 3 in Lowokwaru 2 Elementary School, Malang” was essential due to lack. This study was aimed to develop Kantong Saku Baca Tulis media and students’ responds toward Kantong Saku Baca Tulis media. This study used ADDIE models which have five research phases, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study was conducted in Lowokwaru 2 Elementary School of Malang, in which 3-A and 3-B grade was the subject of this study. Observation, interview, questionnaire, test and documentation were used as the data collection technique. Furthermore, data analysis technique was in a form of quantitative and qualitative data in order to investigate students’ respond toward Kantong Saku Baca Tulis media. The percentage of students’ responds toward media could be seen from the questionnaire which are grade of 3-A and 3-B. The percentage result of grade of 3-A with the total students of 31 obtained 90.27%. Meanwhile, grade of 3-B with total students of 32 obtained 88.17%. Based on the result of students’ respond toward Kantong Saku Baca Tulis media which had been tested in two classes, It can be concluded that Kantong Saku Baca Tulis media was really attractive to the students, and students explained that Kantong Saku Baca Tulis media helped them to easily understand the learning material.
