- Drainage system on Galunggung road- Langsep road is an open and closed drainage system. In the land use around the drainage location, there are residential land and shops that have the potential to occur inundation in the event of high intensity rain. This is because the road drainage system is unable to accommodate the volume of existing water discharge, so that the inundation conditions of the road are disturbing the smooth traffic and the comfort of the surrounding community. In analyzing the capacity of the channel appearance, the calculation is done based on the plan discharge, while the assessment of physical indicators based on the weight that has been determined. The data used are rainfall data, administrative maps, contour maps, land use maps and outline of Malang City drainage plan. Based on the calculation and existing conditions in the field, it was found that there were several secondary channels that were unable to accommodate the planned discharge, namely the secondary channel Jalan Galunggung 1-Jalan Galunggung 3, so that a solution was needed such as cleaning up garbage, dredging sediment, to widening or deepening the irrigation canal.
