- Horticultural commodities grown this into its own favorites among the farmers, because selling prices are increasing, one of which is red chili. Red chili pepper production in Indonesia is very volatile, it indicates that the elasticity of supply of chili is also berfluktuatif. In addition to the amount of production, the level of supply is also determined by the prices. Red chili pepper itself a commercial crop because even though the price is high but consumer demand tends to rise. A result of this high price of Chili can affect inflation in Indonesia by the year 2015. The purpose of the research is to 1) find out the factors that affect the supply and demand of red chili in Indonesia 2) Identifies the elasticity of supply and demand in Indonesia red pepper 3) Know chilli red at market equilibrium Indonesian. Research locations selected by purposive in Indonesia. This research using time series data for the year 2006 – 2015. Types of data using secondary data in the form of a quantitative descriptive method. Analysis methods the data used was multiple linear regression analysis to calculate the factors that affect the supply and demand of red chili in Indonesia as well as the Cobweb model to analyze the balance of supply and demand of chili Red. The results showed that: (1) factors that influence the supply price variable is present red chili manufacturers, whereas the factors that affect the demand for red pepper price variable is present the consumer (2) results of identification the elasticity of supply is widely variable elastic nature of the harvest, while the results of the elasticity of demand is all the variables used are inelastic. (3) the balance of supply and demand are converging (nearing the point of balance).
