- During this time the growth media of white oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) used potatoes, whereas potatoes were relatively expensive and the growth of old mushroom miseliminates. Accordingly, white sweet potato has more potential so as this research in this case needs to be done. Moreover, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of WSPDA (White sweet potato dextrose agar) media on the growth of white oyster mushroom mycelium (Pleurotus ostreatus). This study used a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 9 replications. WSPDA media with the composition of white sweet potatoes 100 grams, 200 grams, and 300 grams. The data were white oyster mushroom mycelium growth. Then,the data analysis technique was One-Factor Variant and the Smallest Significant Difference Test (BNT) of 5%. The deriving results showed that there was an effect of WSPDA (White sweet potato dextrose agar) media on the growth of white oyster mushroom mycelium (Pleurotus ostreatus). In addition, the best treatment in this study was using WSPDA media within a composition of 300 grams of white sweet potato resulting in an average mycelium length of 140.44 mm.
