- The research is a research and development by using procedural research model with qualitative and quantitative data type. As data source, researcher chose students of grade IV SD Muhammadiyah 08 Elementary School of Dau Malang consists of 20 children and SDN Mojolangu II Elementary School of Malang consists of 14 children. The research is done in October 2017 and it was done in two phases. First phase is small group product test done in SDN Mojolangu II Elementary School of Malang and second phase was done in SD Muhammadiyah 08 Elementary School of Dau Malang. In fact, lack of thematic based learning media in SD Muhammadiyah 08 Elementary School of Dau Malang, so it needs thematic based learning media procurement which would be able to integrate several materials in learning. The research is aimed to find out about: (1) Students of grade IV interests to Rupin (Smart House) media in SD Muhammadiyah 08 Elementary School of Dau Malang. (2) Suitability of Rupin (Smart House) media usage in "The beauty of togetherness" theme for grade IV of SD Muhammadiyah 08 Elementary School of Dau Malang. (3) Suitability of Rupin (Smart House) learning media used in teaching and learning process in "The beauty of togetherness" theme for grade IV of SD Muhammadiyah 08 Elementary School of Dau Malang. Research shows that Rupin (Smart House) learning media is able to attaract and motivate students of grade IV to learn, learning media is suitable with material in "The beauty of togetherness" theme for grade IV. Rupin (Smart House) media is really suitable when used in teaching and learning process of "The beauty of togetherness" theme - "National Culture Varieties" subtheme in grade III. It was shown by students responses in small group tests with score 91% and large group score of 97% and Rupin (Smart House) media development result is absolutely valid.
