  • According to the observation conducted at Muhammadiyah 9 Malang Primary School, it was found that learning media procurement is limited and less varied. The school never utilize the computer laboratory for thematic learning, although the infrastructure is well established. The teachers are inclined to use printed books, internet, and surroundings as teaching media. The use of these less varied media made the class atmosphere to be monotonous and less innovative. This research aims to identify how developmentof Macromedia Flash Player based interactive multimedia on thematic learning: energy and its conversion in third grade primary school and the students response to it. Research and development that refer to ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model was applied as research method. The result showed that the developed media has met media feasibility and criteria to be used as teaching media. It can be seen from media validation that resulted in a score of 97%, material validation from the expert resulted in a score of 96%, both categorized as good, and learning validation from the expert resulted in a score of 97%. Meanwhile, student response questionnaire resulted in positive, with 98% in Class Zaenab and 94% Salamah Class. Based on the data, it can be concluded that thisdevelopment of Macromedia Flash Player based interactive multimedia on thematic learning: energy and its conversion in third grade primary school is valid and feasible to be used as learning media in Energy and its conversion theme.
