- The implementation of Curriculum 2013 begun the new school year in 2013/2014.The implementation of Curriculum 2013 emphasizes the learning process using integrative thematic approach.Integrative thematic learning in curriculum2013 is a lesson that is applied to elementary school by combining or relating some subjects into a theme.Thematic learning is applied to elementary school students because it suits the characteristics of learners who still see things holistically. This study aims to find out the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in thematic lessons on fourth grade students at SDN 19 Dompu, to know the obstacles in the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in thematic learning on fourth grade students at SDN 19 Dompu, and to know the effort in overcoming the obstacles in the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in thematic learning on fourth grade students at SDN 19 Dompu. This research used qualitative descriptive approach and descriptive research.The place of study at SDN 19 Dompu, research time for 1 month whichwasApril-May.The subjects of this research were the headmaster and the fourth-grade teacher of SDN 19 Dompu.The research method used Observation, Interview, and Documentation.Data analysis techniques used data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions.The technique of data validity used technical triangulation and source triangulation. The result of research in the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in thematic learning on fourth-grade students at SDN 19 Dompu obtained the following conclusion: 1) The planning forthe implementation of curriculum 2013 in thematic lesson is making syllabus, making the thematic teaching implementation plan, making annual program and semester program and providing an instructional manual.2) The obstacles in the implementation of the Curriculum 2013 the teachers are not familiar with the assessment in the Curriculum 2013 on thematic lessons, there were a lot number of learners while the inadequate classrooms and the provision of limited instruction manuals.3) The efforts in overcoming obstacles in the implementation of the Curriculum 2013 in thematic lessons are discussing with other teachers, finding information about Curriculum 2013 through the internet, and providing electronic instruction manuals.
