  • The reality found in the learning process on the field showed that learning media is an important component which is often overlooked. The utilization of class facilities that have been provided in Public Primary School 1 Kauman has not been used properly. Therefore, there is an effort for utilizing more by looking at the needed component in the learning process and that is the learning media. This study aims to description: (1) The development of a product in the form of learning media "bakwan" game based on interactive multimedia in thematic learning on the primary school first grader. (2) The validity of the "bakman" game and the application of "bakwan" game media on the primary school first grader at Public Primary School 1 Kauman Malang. This research used Research and Development type. As for the data source, the researcher selected the first grader from class I C at Primary Public School 1 Kauman Malang for around 28 students. This research was conducted in July 2018. This research was conducted in 4 stages namely definition, planning, development, and dissemination. The data collection used in this research is interview, observation, questioner, and documentation. The result of this research (1) Media validation resulted in percentage score of 95.46% with a very good predicate. (2) Material validation resulted in percentage score of 93.76% with a very good predicate. (3) Learning validation resulted in percentage score of 97.5% with a very good predicate. (4) The result of student response questionnaire resulted in percentage score of 96.1% with the very good predicate. The research result of this "bakwan" game media development is suggested to become a reference for other interactive game development and as a reference for the preparation of learning program by using other interactive media.
