- Things happen in the field obtained the role of shadow teacher who has not done the task thoroughlyresulting in less child development. This study aims to determine: the role of Shadow Teacher in providing educational services for students with visual impairment in SD Muhammadiyah 04 Batu, describing the obstacles or difficulties that faced by Shadow Teacher in providing services for students with visual impairment in SD Muhammdiyah 04 Batu, the solution to the problems that faced by Shadow Teacher in providing services to visually impaired students in SD Muhammadiyah 04 Batu in order to be resolved. This research uses qualitative research and the type of research conducted is through interview and observation activities. As a source of data, selected fourth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 04 BatuYear 2017-2018 which amounted to 1 student. The study was conducted in March 2018 in consultation with the principal, shadow teacher, direct field data, and interviewed directly with shadow teacher, looking for primary and secondary data, primary data sources and secondary data sources, data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. The result of the study shows that (1) the role of Shadow Teacher that has been done is in the administration of special administration in the form of student progress reports to parents flexibly, student identity, recording of assessment result and mobility orientation (2) Role of Shadow Teacher that have not been implemented, such as the implementation of curriculum plus or additional activities to support the skills of students with special needs, the lack of learning facilities and physical facilities provided by the school (3) Problems and obstacles experienced there is no best solution but the shadow teacher and principals continue to seek the best in providing services to students with special needs. The results of this study, the role of shadow teacher is still much that has not been done. Problems and obstacles experienced also there is no best solution. Solutions that can be done is to help in facilitating inclusion schools for the learning process of students with special needs.
