- VERONA was company which producing shoes with various model. In production process of shoe, it uses same machine but needs different finishing time to each model. This matter causes given work load every machine differs; there is long time and there is brief time. So that, this matter causes Idle Time at certain machines which makes the company cannot finish production maximally. In this research, the researcher analyzes to decrease makespan, total of flow time, Idle Time and Total Production Process Cost by using Method of Campbell Dudek and Smith (CDS). By this method, it is expected to be obtained correct job scheduling, so that factory can lessen time to finish the shoe production, lessening the amount of idle time, and also can depress total production process cost. By the application of Campbell Dudek And Smith (CDS) method, from this analysis it is obtained better job scheduling than previous method. In August 2008, the calculation of makespan by the previous method is 415,07 Hour, total of Flow Time is equal to 1388,78 hour, total of idle time is equal to 735,61 hours and total process production cost is equal to Rp. 170.399.264,07. While by using Campbell Dudek Smith (CDS) method, it is obtained: the makespan is equal to 384,51 hours; total of Flow Time is equal to 1143,15 hour, total of idle time is equal to 660,28 hour and total process production cost is equal to Rp. 157.661.640,82. So that obtained by thrift at makespan is equal to 30,56 hour, total of flow time equal to 245,63 hour; total of idle time is equal to 75,33 hour and total process production cost is equal to Rp. 12.737.623,88. At September 2008 is obtained the thrift at makespan is equal to 30,56 hour, total of flow time is 245,64 hour, total of idle time is 71,92 hour and total process production cost is Rp. 12.736.898,17. At October 2008 is obtained the thrift of makespan is 30,57 hour, total of flow time is 245,66 hour, total of idle time is 75,34 hour and total process production cost is Rp. 12.739.341,13.
