- This study aims to (1) analyze the farmer's perception of the performance of agricultural extension. (2) To Identify the internal and external characteristics of the farmers. (3) To analyze the relationship between the characteristics of the farmers with farmers' perceptions. The location determination is done (purposive) that Jogoroto Sub-district, Jombang, East Java. Retrieval of data from farmers conducted by the method (simple random sampling) against 47 members of farmers and census method to farmer groups were distributed to 47 farmer groups in 11 villages in the district Jogoroto, by making the farmer groups and one the members of farmer groups in each farmer groups as respondents. Methods of data analysis using a Likert scale, Spearman Rank test. The results showed (1) Perception of farmers on good performance in the category extension. (2) the internal and external characteristics of the farmers' age, education level, family responsibility, experience, work areas, participation. (3) Relationship farmer's perception of the performance extension with internal and external characteristics of the farmers are mostly significant, except in the working area farmers with farmers' perceptions of the performance extension.
