- This study was conducted to analyze Baper expressions found on Path. This study was done based on the phenomenon of language variety which is popular in the recent year. The recent popular language variety is Baper. According to Sabeq (2017) Baper is a new term and an acronym from the word Bawa Perasaan. In everyday conversation this term might appear because of language variety. Language variety is linguist item set or human speech pattern that has similar distribution (Hudson and Ferguson in Wardhaugh 2006: 25). This study struggled to find the Baper expressions and their classification based on emotion found on Path. This study is a descriptive research design. It is used to describe the situation in the current phenomenon. The population of this study is the status of the students of University of Muhammadiyah Malang on Path. The sample of the study is the status that is written in the form of Pathdaily by the student of muhammadiyah malang university on writer's timeline search. Purposive sampling was used in this study. The instruments that are used in this study were document and interview. From the interview, the researcher found 16 Baper expressions on Path that are written by the students of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. From the result of the interview, the researcher classified Baper expressions into two categories (negative and positive expression). The researcher classified 7 expressions into positive expression and 9 expressions into negative expression. It determined that in this study, the most dominant expression that was found was negative Baper expression.
