- Jombang regency in 2017 has a temperature between 23oC to 32oC with relative humidity ranging from 65% to 85% .The helmints eggs breeding can breed below temperature of 15.5oC or above 38oC and optimally at temperature 25oC. The temperature and relative humidity of Bareng subdistrict with Jombang regency support for the breed of helmints eggs, so the risk of chicken livestock infected by the helmints is high. This research is to determine the prevalence and infection degree of helmintss in Jombang regency. This research was held in two farms in bareng subdistrict, Jombang. It held in in Animal Health Laboratory of Malang and Biology Laboratory of University Muhammadiyah Malang. This research uses survey method. Data collection is done by using questionnaire method. For calculate the prevalence and infection degree of helmints egg per gram (EPG) use the native, flotation and McMaster methode. The result of interview and quisioner showed that the level of education of laying chicken farmers is postgraduate of animal husbandry, experienced breeding for 8 years, the respondent's livestock age is 11 and 18 months, farm A applies the giving of anthelmintic and livestock B does not apply anthelmintic. The prevalence of helmintss in laying hens in Bareng subdistrict, Jombang is 31.5%. Hens poultry that are not given medication have a degree of infection 583,857 and on poultry given drug degree of infection of 1,175. The species of helmints that found to infect on the results of this study is the type of Ascaridia galli and Heterakis gallinarum helmintss on both poultry.
