- Deaf is a loss of hearing whether hard of hearing or completely deaf which caused the hearing has no functional value in daily life. Children with special needs often made problems, even conflicts in themselves. It made children with their abnormality feel lack of confidence. Seeing the importance of selfconfidence for somebody, especially for the deaf physical defect person in his/her social life and how the parents guide them, the writer wanted to find out and doing research to child with physical defect titled: “Parents Caring Profile which is a base of self confidence to deaf physical defect person”.The research was done by research design aimed to find out how the parents profile which is a base of selfconfidence for deaf physical defect person. Research subject were child with deaf physical defect and parents. By this method, there found 8 subjects consisted of 4 deaf physical defect children and 4 parents with deaf physical defect. Data analysis used in this research used descriptive qualitative, describing subjects according to the facts. Results found in this research were: parents caring pattern which is a base of self confidence to deaf physical defect using various tools with permissive democratic approach and authoritarian to consider education aspect needs by children (discipline, fun, love, etc) or dominant approach in caring. This kind of caring profile would create confidence in child though the child had lack of hearing.
