  • Teaching teachniques used by teacher in teaching vocabulary is to see how teacher attract student interesrt on English Especally in acheiving students vocabulary The aim of this study are to describe the teaching techniquesand the implementation of the teaching techniques used by teacher in teaching English vocabulary in SMP ‘Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Malang. This study employs descriptive qualitative in which the instument used to get the data were observation, interview and documentation. This study obtained the data from one teacher and twenty five students of seventh grade at SMP ‘Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Malang. After analyzing the data, it is found that English teacher employed four techniques in teaching vocabulary at SMP ‘Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Malang. Those four techniques are, visual, translation, asking other, and using dictionary technique. Visual technique used by teacher to give the example and explanation to students by using picture slide, white board drawing and realia (real object). Then, translation technique used by teacher to save the time while teaching. He applied this technique by translating the slides direction and dialogue. Next, asking other technique was applied by teacher in all of the teaching learning activity.Moreover, the using a dictionarywas used by teacher to find out new vocabulary.
