- This research is aimed to find out the implicatures and describe the meaning of it in BlackBerry Messenger status of students of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The research design of this study was descriptive qualitative because the researcher intended to explore the implicature on status of Blackberry Messenger used by the students of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Document and interview was data collection technique, and document analysis and interview guide wes data collection instrument that the researcher used. The finding showed that there were ten implicature made by students on status of Blackberry Messenger, they were as follows: (1) “Hari itu berlalu, namun rasa sedih dan kecewa itu tidak berlalu” (Days go by but the feeling of sadness and disappointment never goes). (2) “Hati orang itu ada masa kadaluarsanya” (Someone’s heart has its own limit of time). (3) “Hahaha cukup tau” (Hahaha ok fine). (4) “Maunya banyak, mau ah kalau diturutin semua hahaha” (I want a lot, it is ok if you give me all). (5) “Libur lembur” (overtime on holiday). (6) “Malam minggu kelabu” (gloomy Saturday night). (7) “Tegarkan hatimu dan melangkahlah” (Be strong and keep moving on). (8) “Alhamdulillah, rejeki sudah ada yang ngatur” (Alhamdulillah, blessing has been organized). (9) “Alhamdulillah – Hati dan doa tau kemana harus menuju” (Alhamdulillah - Heart and prayer know where to go). (10) “I can’t go back to where I used to be.”
