- Keyword : zone good school Zone good schools ( zoss ) is locations in certain roads which is speed zone based time to set the pace of vehicles in the vicinity of the school. This study tries to menganalis the effectiveness of good school zone perceptions of a threat to the users, namely students, teachers, parents, and actors travel in the vicinity of the school. With the zone good schools ( zoss ) it is hoped that school children for to school and school safely, prevent of the accident, to affect characteristic road users or the driver of a hackney, as well as having benefits for the driver of a hackney to reduce the speed of, and the school can be crossed safely. The methodology that was used in this research is research lansung on the court and also the spread of the questionnaire, data is collected of the research will be processed and were analysed to obtain a result of calculation of behavior pedestrian, the level of safety from the introductory school children, analysis of the the vehicle speed through zoss, the volume of vehicles on roads on PB. Sudirman Jember city, and the ability of roads at the rate of road service. This research result indicates that the majority of respondents understand the meaning and purpose zone zoss good school. According to the effectiveness of zoss for users is less effective. This can be seen from the data that introductory school children are categorized as not good with the results of the value of normal test the value of zhitung = - 3,87 < ztabel = 0,2787, To the vehicle speed enter zone good schools also could be classified as not good with the results of value normal test of value zhit = 4,72 > ztabel = 0,2787. But for the waders said to effective because the waders dikatagorikan good with the results of value normal test of value zhitung = 2,06 > ztabel = 0,2787.
