- Keyword : Aibileen Clark ,Black maid, “The Help “by Tate Taylor Literature is a form of media in the language of human expression that is used to providean understanding of the feelings that occur within its stateas politic, economic, social, and culture. The film is the story in form of a visualization which involves the activities of speaking and thinking. The writer is interested in analyzing social conflict in the film entitled “The help”. The purposes of this study are (1) to describe social conflicts faced by Aibileen Clark’s in the film “The Help “, (2)to investigate the causes of Aibileen Clark’s social conflict (3)To explain the effects of Aibileen Clark’s social conflict toward his life. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The writer used objective approach in doing the analysis because the writer did not need to study the author’s life. The object of this study was the film entitled The Help. In this study, the writer tried to analyze Aibleen Clark’s social conflict. The data were obtained from some dialogues that were related to Aibileen social conflict. The result of this study showed that the social conflict found in “The Help” Film were: (1)The confrontation between Aibileen Clark and Hilly Holbrook. (2)The confrontation between Aibileen Clark and Eugenia Skeeter. The causes of social found in this film were categorized in to three kind, (1) communication breakdown (2) jurisdictional ambiguities (3) goal differences and finally status differences. Meanwhile, in “The Help” film the conflict that were faced by Aibileen Clark gave positive and negative effect toward his life. The positive effect is problem solving. Identification problem is the positive effect due to some solving between Abileen and Hilly. Abileen also get support from her friend to accomplish the problem. The negative effects are hostility and resentment between Hilly, Skatter and Abileen. The book published by Skatter makes Hilly become angry to Skatter and Abileen.
