- Keyword: Optimal Working Capital, Real Working Capital The research is case study at Perusahaaan Daerah Air Minum Kabupaten Jombang. This study is to now are the working capital Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum Kabupaten Jombang optimal or not. We use working capital turn over method and selling prediction with selling growing method. From the data analysis, we now that at 2004 optimal working capital at Rp1.534.872.982,85 is bigger than real working capital at Rp1.511.826.565, at 2005 optimal working capital at Rp2.376.156.513,17 is bigger than real working capital at Rp2.053.754.772, at 2006 optimal working capital at Rp2.987.891.570,92 is less than real working capital at Rp3.199.250.772, at 2007 optimal working capital at Rp4.249.455.845,63 is less than real working capital at Rp4.402.255.569,33, at 2008 optimal working capital at Rp5.821.947.483,8 is bigger than real working capital at Rp5.821.947.483,8. that result can prove that the Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum Kabupaten Jombang is unoptimal because of the optimal working capital is unequal with real working capital, that is caused the company in cost deficit condition so they need more many to operate his company, and this fact can prove that the Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum Kabupaten Jombang had not been in optimal working capital management. From the result, we supposed to the company to concern with his working capital to anticipate the cost deficit at the next time. For the company management, this study can be used to make decision in optimal working capital at the next time. This study also can be used to offer the long period monetary fund to the government of Indonesia. After we knows the result of this study, the company must be concern in working capital management to get the optimal working capital.
