- Television is one of the electronic mass media, it is very influential in social life. Television broadcasts can be enjoyed by all circles of social status and various ages. Trans TV is one of the television stations that include investigative information in one news program. Such information is displayed on Investigative reporting. The high level of competition so many behavioral deviations occur. So many different ways are used to suppress the rate of loss and gain more profit. Given the coverage of this investigation is expected that the mothers can be more rigorous in the selection of food products will be consumed his family. As explained above, the investigation team will provide clearer information of the characteristics, manufacturing process, materials used, marketing and the impact that will arise.This study uses type of research to examine the influence of explanatory variables hypothesized. The method of collecting data is using questionnaires. The population in the study were mothers RW 05 Kelurahan Purwantoro Blimbing Malang district. The number of respondents were 62 respondents who selected and assigned by Simple Random Sampling Technique. Method of data analysis using simple linear regression. The data have been analyzed to show the result of correlation of 0.440. The test criterion is that Farithmetic > Ftable is Ho refused and Ha is accepted, whereas is Farithmetic < Ftable then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. Results of multiple regression analysis was obtained Ftable (0.50, 5, 62) equal to 2.30. While the Farithmetic is obtained 14.371, so the above calculation can know that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Indicates that the independent variables are variables the investigation of exposure to news show Investigative Reporting (X) has a significant impact on the food product selection behavior of haouswives (Y).
