- Tobacco cutter machine is extremely needed machine, especially for tobacco farmer. Through thesis composition under the title DESIGN OF TOBACCO CUTTER PEELING MACHINE WITH CAPACITY OF 100 KG/HOUR, it is expected that it can benefit tobacco farmer in Indonesia. Tobacco cutter machine uses cutting system with electrical motor as the main driver. It is connected by a belt and pulley. Working principle of this machine is as follow: the having rolled tobacco is put into feeding hole where the rotating cutting knife is in it. Further cut-tobacco comes out through discharge opening. There are six problems examined in this thesis: (1) cutting knife, (2) pulley, (3) belt, (4) shaft, (5) peg, and (6) bearing. Machine elements reckoned in this thesis is cutting capacity, the used machine element, and determining the dimension of this designed tool. The resulted capacity of this tobacco cutter machine is 110 kg/hours with cutting speed of 204 rpm. While the tobacco cutter machine planned by writer is for capacity 100 kg/hours.
