  • English is one of the International languages in the world. Nowadays, giving English to kindergarten is very common and also important to improve the quality of education. For that purpose, the effort to introduction English should be applied earlier. Teacher must be able to use several of technique in teaching English to young learners. The aim of this study were knowing the teaching technique used by the English teacher, describing the reasons of teacher to choose technique and knowing the problem of technique faced by the teacher in teaching English to young learners at "TK. Wonderland" Malang. The research design used descriptive qualitative method. The research subject of this study is a teacher of "TK. Wonderland" Malang. The instrument used to gather the data were observation and interview. The data in this research were collected during teaching activity in the classroom and the research did four times observation in that classroom. Then, interview the teacher concerning with the technique in teaching English. The result of this study shows that the teaching technique used by the English teacher at "TK. Wonderland" Malang such as; games, song, drawing and exercises. The reasons from there technique like; make interest students, make students understand the lesson, make the students enjoy in the classroom, make the students more active in the classroom, etc. The problem faced by English teacher in using games is making the classroom crowded which would disturb the other class. The problem by using song is the students felt difficult to repeat the lyric of song. In the drawing and exercise technique teacher did not have for apply that technique.
