- The objective of this study was to analyze the English jargon Found in "Paltalk Chat". These research purposes were: 1) To know English jargon found in "Paltalk Chat", 2) To dig out the types of the English jargon found in "Paltalk Chat", 3) To describe the meaningsof English jargon found in "Paltalk Chat". The design of this study was descriptive qualitative. The accessible object of the study was chatting that used English jargon found in "Paltalk Chat", room; Featured, Good Time Music Respect Studio from sites www.paltalkchat.com. Furthermore, the instrument bused non-participant observation becauyse the observer was not active or doing contact with the chatters and documentationwas taken from chatting as the material analysis. Based on the data collection, there are 50 English jargons found in "Paltalk Chat" and two categories of English jargon, There are abreviation and acronym. Fist, abreviation in English jargon those were 46 words. Second, acronym in English jargon those were 6 words. From the result of the study, the reseracher concluded that the cahatters most frequently used abbreviation words. The abbreviation are ADSF means Angry, Sullen, Depressed and Frustated, BRB as Be Right Back, C Yâ€TM all mean See You All, GM AS Good Morning and etc. and the acronm are 2 Aâ€TMS means ToAsk, B4 as bBefore and Great means as GR8T. The witer hoped that the result of this study can be used as one of the references especially for the lectures whio teach sociolinguistics and it can be used as an additional material in teaching jargon. The writer also hoped to the further writer to continue thisreasearch in more detail by specification of jargon so the result will be broader.
