- In this study, the writer analyzed the teaching learning activities of Accepting and Declining Invitation Speech Act Senior High School English textbook published by Grafindo Media Pratama, Yudhistira, Quadra, Piranti, Erlangga, Gelora Aksara Pratama, and Ganeca Exact. In details, this study is presented to analyze (1) the teaching learning activities of Accepting and Declining Invitation for first year Senior High School English textbook, (2) the most varieties of teaching learning activities of Accepting and Declining Invitation for first year Senior High School English textbook, and (3) the fewest of teaching learning activities of Accepting and Declining Invitation for first year senior high school English textbook. In this study, the writer used descriptive design to know the teaching and learning activities of Accepting and Declining Invitation in certain textbooks. The population of this research was the books sold in bookstore in Malang that included; Gramedia, Togamas, Wilis and Dian Ilmu and the sample are Contextual Learning, The Bridge English Competence, English Today 1, Learning to Use English, Look A Head, English in Action and Progress. The instruments used were documentation. The finding of this research shows that (1) teaching learning activities of accepting and declining invitation in on Contextual Learning consist of looking at the picture and discussing, looking at the dialogue and the expression in italics, answering the questions, practicing the dialogue, making the dialogue based on the situations, making one own dialogue. On The Bridge English Competence consist of making invitations, discussing the questions, listening and filling in the blank, underlining the expressions, practicing the dialogue. On English Today 1 consist of listening and answer the questions, and making and performing dialogue. On Learning to Use English 1 consist of practicing the expressions, looking at the picture and creating the dialogue. On Look Ahead consist of listening and filling in the blank, and completing the dialog. On English in Action did not have the activities. On Progress consist of listening to the expressions, listening and completing the dialogue and filling in the blank, classifying the expressions, listening and practicing the conversation, working in group or pairs to make a dialog, studying and practicing the conversation, reading and then making the invitations by own words. (2) The most varieties of teaching learning activities of accepting and declining invitation in English textbook is "Progress"(3) The fewest varieties of teaching learning activities of accepting and declining invitation in English textbook are English Today1, Learning to Use English, and Look Ahead.
