  • This study is intended to make an istrument for measuring the concentration of glucose, cholesterol and uric acid in human blood practically and accurately, to help easing the check out of blood sample in medical laboratory. The method used in this study to conduct the measurement was based on the principals of spectroscopy, by measuring the monochromator light intencity absorbed by sample base on maximum absorbance of wave lengh by using fotodiode as light detector and LED as a light source. In this case, light absorbance by the sample called absorban. The measured result will be conversed into digital form by ADC 0804. Then, by using microcontroller AT 89C51 for processing the data and doing the arithmatic operation, the absorbance value of the sample will be compared with the absorbance value of the standard concentration, next it will be counted to be concentration value of sample and displayed on LCD. Based on the measurement by using the instrument, the absorbance value for standard glucose is 0,3454, cholesterol is 0,0826 and uric acid is 0,0792. The result of glucose and cholesterol measurement reach to linierity, and the uric acid measurement is not linierty under absorbance 0,03 or under concentration 5 mg/dl.
