- Background : DHF is dengue viral infection and transmitted by Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. DHF shows many clinicals and laboratories manifestations; one of them is bleeding manifestation caused by thrombocytopenia. The management of DHF is supportive in nature with the aims to restore as soon as possible intravascular volume and prevent further complication. Corticosteroid Adjuvant Therapy is controversial in DHF treatment and must be researched. Purpose : To know the different between corticosteroid adjuvant therapy and conservative therapy toward the effort in increasing thrombocyte amount. Research Method : Descriptive analytical with crossectional approach with the population of the DHF patient which need to be hospitalized in Malang Private hospital with the amount of 74 samples by their medical report. In order to determine the different between corticosteroid adjuvant therapy and conservative therapy used t test independent (p<0.05) Result of study : Increasing of thrombocyte amount with conservative therapy= 46270.27 ( Pre : 59702.70, Post : 105972.97 ) and with corticosteroid therapy = 20675.58 ( Pre : 54189.18, Post :74864.86) with p value : 0,000. Conclusion : There was signify different between corticosteroid adjuvant and conservative therapy in increasing thrombocyte amount,Conservative therapy better than corticosteroid adjuvant in increasing thrombocyte amount in DHF patient.
