- Background: Paracetamol is a drug that has a therapeutic effect of analgesic and antipyretic, analgesic effect of paracetamol but smaller than with other analgesics. To increase the analgesic activity of paracetamol is carried modification chemical structure of paracetamol through acylation reaction with 2-klorobenzoil chloride use Schotten Baumman method had modification . To knowing analgesic activity, in this study have a test using writhing test method. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to produce O-(2-klorobenzoil) paracetamol through acylation reaction between paracetamol with 2-klorobenzoil chloride and know analgesic activity of results the synthesis in mice (Mus muculus) and compare it with paracetamol Research Methods: This study is experimental. Results and Conclusion: this study have produce a compound, itÂ’s O-(2-klorobenzoil) paracetamol has been analyzed qualitative include TLC, UV spectrophotometer, IR spectrophotometer and 1H-NMR spectrometer and has a greater analgesic effect than paracetamol analgesic activity with ED50 values = 36.49 mg / KgBW.
