  • Film is almost same as drama, in which both of them are performed before audiences. Film is a form entertainment that enacts a story by sound and sequence of images giving the illusion of continuous movement. People always connect rebellion with bad things or even worst like violence, which should be avoided in this life. However, some people consider that rebellion can be done to get what they deserve in different way. In this study, the writer is interested in analyzing Anna Fitzgerald’s rebellion in Nick Cassavetes’ film “My Sister’s Keeper”. In detail, the writer wants to dig out the kinds, the causes and the effects of Anna’s rebellion. This analysis employs a descriptive qualitative research design because it does not use hypothesis and statistical methods. The approach in this study is objective approach. The object in this study is the main character in “My Sister’s Keeper” film, Anna Fitzgerald. The data are collected from the scenes, events, and dialogues which related to the problems of study, they are kinds, causes and effects of Anna’s rebellion. The result of this analysis showed that the kind of Anna Fitzgerald’s rebellion was categorized into early adolescence rebellion. While, there are three causes of Anna’s rebellion, they are under-pressure, unfair, and proper life for the future. Then, there are two effects of Anna’s rebellion to her sister. Firstly, Anna did not want to donate her body organ anymore. Secondly, her sister passed away.
