- This research aimed at studying the students’ worksheet used by student teachers in the 2nd grade students at English Department of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. This study tried to find the types and English components of students’ worksheet used by pre service teacher in the 2nd grade students of EYL course. This study is expected to be meaningful in providing the good worksheet for second grade students of EYL that can attract and motivate the students to be active in the class. The design used in this study was descriptive qualitative research. The object of this study was the students’ worksheets used by pre service teacher in the 2nd grade of EYL course at English Department of UMM academic 2012-2013. The research instrument used to collect the data of this study was documentation. The finding showed that the pre service teachers in the 2nd grade of EYL course only used five types of worksheet. However, the types of worksheet consist of seven types such as, coloring, drawing, matching, let’s pretend, sticking and cutting (art and craft), games and stories. Meanwhile, the English component of student worksheets used by pre service teachers in the 2nd grade of EYL were complete used in all of the worksheets such as vocabulary, structure, pronunciation and spelling. In summary, the student worksheets used by pre service teachers in the 2nd grade of EYL course at English Department of UMM academic 2012-2013 were lack of criteria, because the pre service teachers only used five of worksheets such as, coloring, drawing, matching, let’s pretend, and sticking and cutting (art and craft). In addition, the English component of student worksheets used by pre service teachers in the 2nd grade of EYL course at English Department of UMM academic 2012-2013 were complete used in all of the worksheets.
