The population of this research was the first grade students of SDN Ngenep 2 Karangploso, Malang that consist of two classes. She took class A as the control group and B as the experimental. The experimental group was given a treatment (paper doll game) and the control group was not given a treatment. The instrument of this research was the pretest and posttest. The result of the T-Test computation found that the t-value was 1.983 and the t-table with level of significance of 5% with df =44 was 2.015. Since the t-value was less than the t-table, so the null hypothesis was accepted. It means that teaching vocabulary by using “Paper doll” game does not improve the vocabulary mastery of the first grade students at SDN Ngenep 2 Karangploso, Malang. It could be caused by the fact that the students were lack of concentration and motivation.
