- English as international language is used by people in this world to communicate each other, and English is taught in Indonesia to develop the science and technology. The purpose of this research is to know the studentsÂ’ motivation in learning English in ESP program at Indonesian Department of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The research design of this research is quantitative design (survey) because this research wants to describe studentsÂ’ motivation in learning English in ESP program with applying statistic to analysis data that is obtained from questionnaire. This research also uses observation to get the data. The result of this research shows that studentsÂ’ motivation in learning English in ESP program at Indonesian Department of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang is high.
