- During its development, the computer network has been changing rapidly, in particular in data communication technology. The existing technology should be able to adequately support data access speed from one place to another. Apart from that, it is necessarily demanded highly reliable data security due to the width of public network. MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) is a newly technology in computer network that belongs to NGN (Next Generation Network). The technology has high speed data access. In addition, it can avoid the stuck usually occuring in traffic of a network. VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a technology of data security to build a “private” and secure network by implementing public network, for example, internet. The VPN can support data confidentiality, access control, authentication, integrity, and non-repudiation. Technology of Voice Internet Protocol over (VoIP) is alternative technology with low communications expense. Practically attendance of this technology still not yet can isn't it with traditional telephone, because latency as parameter determining voice performances still assumed high. Attendance Of Multi Protocol Lable of Switching ( MPLS) as technology of routing future internet, giving more service alternative either from network of IP and expected can be made [by] solution of problems faced by technology of Voip. MPLS promise storey the highness from the aspect of time of latency compared to network of IP. In this final duty, have isn't it Voip [at] network of VPN MPLS over [in] Laboratory of Elektro FT - UMM. overcome package of Voip [pass/through] network of VPN MPLS over, obtained [by] reduction of average latency equal to 15,38% in comparison with overcome [by] Voip [is] network of IP ordinary.
