- This thesis established an application of public facilities service in Samarinda City, East Kalimantan, Based on Java Mobile by using Java programming language, platform Java2 Micro Edition (J2ME) with the scope of Samarinda City. This application will give a good application for the users by providing the information as picture and location map of the public facilities object. The application will resolve the searching object location and the high way searching in Samarinda City. The mobile map application will provide the information layer on the map to clarify the path to reach the object location of public facility as user wish. Based on the testing part the application system of public facility service in Samarinda City, East Kalimantan will run as well on the hand phone with the specification that support to Java application MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.0.
