- This study aimed to investigate the effect caused by the frequency of feeding on the final weight, feed efficiency, and income over feed cost in broiler chicken. Ultimately this research could be useful information about proper feeding time and efficiently so as to show a good performance. This research has been conducted in the Village District Landungsari Lowokwaru Malang Regency and research has been conducted on January 22 until February 26, 2010. The materials used in this study are strains of broiler chicken age Loghmann one type of platinum production up to 35 days PT. Comfeed, the number of animals used in this study as many as 100 individuals. The treatment given is the frequency of feeding every two hours (T1), frequency of feeding every four hours (T2), frequency of feeding every 6 hours (T3), and frequency of feeding every 8 hours sekjali (T4). Each of these treatments were repeated five times, each unit consisting of five experimental floc DOC. The experimental design using a completely randomized design with four treatments and five replicates. Data are processed using analysis of variance and if significant data reprocessed using Least Significant Difference test to determine differences among the treatments. The observation data obtained during the 35 day average final weight = 2078 grams T1, T2 = 2132.2 grams. T3 = 2074.2 grams. T4 = 2175.8. Results of analysis of variance showed no significant influence on the final weight of broilers. For the average feed efficiency data T1 = 57.14 percent, T2 = 55.63 percent. T3 = 54.57 percent. T4 = 60.23 percent. Results of analysis of variance showed significant effect of feeding frequency (p <0.05) on feed efficiency of broilers. And for data averaging income over feed cost T1 = Rp3.085, 15. T2 = Rp2.699, 2003. T3 = Rp2.574, 40. T4 = Rp4.116, 35. Results of variance analysis showed the frequency of feeding caused significant (p <0.01) of income over feed cost. The conclusion of this research is the effect of feeding frequency on the final weight, feed efficiency, and income over feed cost in broiler chicken feeding treatment proven eight hours can improve feed efficiency and value pengguaan income over feed cost is higher than the 2-hour treatment , 4 hours and 6 hours. While for the final weights obtained relatively similar results. Based on research results to practitioners disarakan or broiler breeders to use the feeding treatment once every eight hours because it can improve feed efficiency and value of income over feed cost is relatively higher and increase farmer profits.
