- As industrial era grows, the working world is always faced by so many challenges that require everyone to be able to solve all the challenges so that the industry will be exist. One of the problems that is usually related to working world is thing related with working accident. The cause of this accident is mainly caused by the behavior of the persons in the working world himself supported by deviated behavior that is the behavior conducted in which it is not in line with the working effectiveness as what is stated in the standard safety procedure. Besides that, the self control of the person can also affect the cause of working accident. In this case, self control is regarded as a certain behavior assumed to be able to arrange, guide, manage and direct someone into a more positive consequence. This is a non-experimental research. The subjects of this research are all workers of TEPIN Corporation of those working in production division in which they are overall about 148 persons. Meanwhile, the samples are about 40 persons taken by incidental sampling. The data collection method in this study is scale. The scales used are self control and unsafe behavior scale. And the data analysis method used is product moment analysis. The result of this research shows that there is a significant negative correlation between the self control and the unsafe behavior skill which is shown by the correlation coefficient (r) = -0,560 and the fault probability is (p) = 0.000. It means that workers who have high self control will do less unsafe behavior and on the other around, the less self control they have, then the tendency to do unsafe behavior is getting higher. Besides that, self control give an effective contribution to the occurrence of unsafe behaviour around 31.4 % and it rest about 68.6% are from the other variables which are not research.
