- Background: Till this day, tuberculosis is the main health problem in the world and there is none country that free from tuberculosis. Low health behaviors in patients with tuberculosis, needs to be solved by tuberculosis overcoming strategy through health counseling which aimed to strengthen the conducive beliefs for health behavior. Based on the background above, the objective of this research was to analyze the effectiveness counseling program lung tuberculosis to health behavior patient lung tuberculosis in work area of Janti and Mulyorejo Clinic Malang City. Method: Theresearch design that used until was cross sectional, design this research was conducted from December, 21th 2014 the January, 3rd in the 2015 primary health center of Janti and Mulyorejo Malang. Subject of this research were 45 patient with lung tuberculosis with positive (+) and negative (-) BTA. A total sampling method was used to connect the respondents. Result: The obtained results primary health center of Janti and Mulyorejo Malang that the routine follow the conselin, then the health behavior is move better itÂ’s supported by the acquisition of a P value 0,002(P <α). Suggestion: Nurse can improve counseling strategies by spreading a poster or print media that focused in place which suffer that still high.
