- Accidents happened within the work field are normal. Workers as a human being will never know when and where the accident may happens to them. Derived from those problems, what people can do is to prevent it in the work field not happening such as provide the workers with sufficient information and knowledge about the work safety in precaution the awareness of possibility of accidents happen. And if the accident happened into someone in the work field then they should know how to give a first aid to help themselves. There is a big company placed in Bontang, East Borneo that runs in the field of natural resources; fuel specially in processing natural liquid gas namely PT Badak NGL. This company prioritizing the safety and health issue to be socialized to their workers, considering this company is vulnerable towards the issue of safety upon their production process. Thus through the local TV program as the media namely Lintas Nusa Gema Televisi (LNGTV), established by PT Badak NGL broadcast a TV program about safety movie. A safety movie is manifests of video presentation about safety were played by the actors. The movie tells the whole scenario about accident, showing the environment. Describing on how the dangerous situation may be expand, how does the accident happen, what are the effects, and how to prevent that or to handle it correctly yet immediately, also shows the pictures of sudden scenario in slow motion. By the program of K3 will help the workers in sustaining the information and knowledge about work safety and health from the messages delivered. LNGTV as a communication tools that naturally have audio visual strength, is an effective media in delivering the message to the audiences, especially for the workers about safety and health issue that in fact is abstractly and too complicated to be explain verbally. The objectives of this research is to discover how significance the level of effectiveness work safety and health message in the movie program shown in LNGTV for the manufacturing workers Division Pt Badak NGL Bontang. The method on this research used quantitative and the data analysis is using descriptive statistic, with the population numbers of 788 workers. Estimated by Taro Yamane formula it is selected 89 people as sample respondents. The data collecting technique are using questionnaires and documentation. Eventually the results are counted with Mean formula. Based on the analysis the level of effectiveness on this TV show is 4. Based on the interpretation guideline then the level of effectiveness of K3 messages in LNGTV for the manufacturing workers division at PT Badak NGL considered in high level influences.
