- Adolescent age constituted period in human life which individual begin to have integration with adult society. Importance of positive self concept thus it is needed support social from parents. The self concept always experience change or developing to positive or negative. Positive or negative may be determined by supporting which be given closed people, they are parents. The goal of this study is to know which correlation among social support with self concept of young adolescent. The population in this study is students of SMP Negeri 1 Papar of Kediri. By using purposive sampling technique use 30 samples. The data collecting method by using social support and self concept along with use product moment correlation as analysis data technique. The study result show that there are positive correlation among self concept with social support for young adolescent, that more high of social support which be given by parents will more positive self concept of young adolescent (r = 0.379, p = 0.05). the determination coefficient (r2) is known contribution of social support to self concept of young adolescent about 15% while the residual about 85% come from others factors which unobserved in this study.
