- Meaning is something that important in human life. When a person findmeaning in his life, he will experience increased psychological wellÂbeing and more likely to feel emotions such as love and happiness. In addition, he will feel the satisfaction in life, can accept his weaknesses and strengths and optimism towards their future. Conversely, loss of meaning in life cause a vacuum that reflected from the boredom and give up too much about the condition of life. In a certain level, sense of emptiness and loss of meaning leads to social pathologies such as the desire to power, the desire for wealth, desire for immediate pleasure as sexual compensation. One of this pathological behavior is conducted prostitution a commercial sex worker. Pathological symptoms reflected by their behavior including sexual intercourse with many men who are not her husband, disrupting family harmony, has a high material aspirations and lazy, to enrich themselves in ways easier and less willing to try, and so forth. Based on the above description, the purpose of this study was to describe the meaning of life on commercial sex workers. The study is a qualitative descriptive study. Subject retrieval techniques using sampling studies based on theory or based on operational construct (theory based/operational construct sampling). The research subjects for 5 people commercial sex workers. Method of data collection assisted interviews conducted with the observations as the supplement. While the credibility of the data is done by triangulation of data and triangulation of sources researchers (mentors as evaluators). Based on the results of research known that the five subjects have not a meaningful life. Failure to fulfill desire to create a void of meaning manifested in a desire to get the immediate and instantaneous gratification, the desire example is excessive smoking. In addition, the lack of creative and productive activities that can satisfy, they spent more time to gather, play cards and chat.
