  • Employees’ mutation or transfer is done for some purposes, include: as training medium for employees to improve their skill in a new circumstance, as the realization for the employees’ expectation that will be more appropriate if they are transferred to one another section, and as the workforce replacement effort to the certain position to replace them. Each policeman will deal with mutation; therefore they should have both better physical mental (mental maturity) and better psychological readiness, and also ability to socialize, to communicate, and all critical things in accomplishing their duty. An individual with good mental maturity will be able to generate his own self-efficacy or self-confident in entering a new environment. Conversely, individual with poor mental maturity will perceive anxiousness on this concern. Purpose of this research is to know the correlation between self-efficacy and anxiousness in dealing with mutation on Policemen. This research is a qualitative correlation research. The population is all of policemen that will be mutated into Polresta of Muna of Northeast Sulawesi as many as 110 policemen. The number of sample is 50 policemen. Sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. Data collecting method uses scale in the form of self-efficacy and anxiousness-in dealing with-mutation scales. Data analysis method uses product moment correlation technique supported by SPSS version 15.0 for windows computer program. The research results shows that there is a positive and very significant correlation between self-efficacy and anxiousness in dealing with mutation, where its correlation coefficient value (r) is -0.629 and 0.000 < 0.05 in significant value (p). It means that if the value of self-efficacy variable is rise or high, the value of anxiousness-in dealing with-mutation variable will be low. Thus, it can be noted that the research hypothesis is proven or accepted. This analysis result gets determination coefficient (r2) of 39.6% (r2 = 0.396). It shows that effective contribution of self-efficacy on anxiousness-in dealing with-mutation is 39.6%. Its remains, 60.4% is affected by other unstudied variables, such as: feelings of guilty, low-esteem, and failure repeatedly.
