- The research purpose is finding out effect of direct and indirect financial compensation for employee of PT. Kaltim Multi Traktor of Balikpapan to work satisfaction. Population consist of overall employees which amount are 35 people. Sampling technique is total sampling technique. Analysis method used is scale range, multiple linear regression with F test and t test. Calculation of scale range shows direct and indirect financial compensation giving produce average score of indicator 138. Direct and indirect financial compensation giving criteria is good. While work satisfaction variable produce average score for 150.4. Work satisfaction criteria is high. Multiple linear regression analysis found Ftablefor 3.320 while Fcountis 10.827 so it can be concluded that financial compensation giving has significant influence to employee work satisfaction. The most influenced variable is direct financial compensation, where direct financial compensation (X1) for 0.617 and indirect financial compensation for 0.612. it expected that financial compensation giving in this company can be increased and direct financial compensation can be defended because it influences employee work satisfaction.
